HM Treasury Facelift for Fitness Centre Energy Fitness Professionals has invested £130, 000 in refurbishing the existing Fitness Centre in the HM Treasury. The building has had the addition of Inland Revenue and Customs & Excise, increasing the building population to over 3000. Due to this expansion Energy Fitness Professionals has updated the existing Health & Fitness Centre to create a modern, spacious and welcoming facility where all members can work out, relax and integrate. The Fitness Centre functions not only as a gym, but also as a hub of social activities, bringing the different Departments together. An additional room has been acquired for the Fitness Centre, adjacent to the existing one, thereby significantly increasing the amount of space available. Both rooms has been refurbished, rewired and repainted, and their layout redesigned. There is a dedicated cardiovascular area and a separate large resistance area in the new room as well as an abdominal workout area. Both rooms are fitted with new, state-of-the-art, professional fitness equipment by Precor. There is also a space for members to chat and relax after their workout. The total number of training stations are 34. The Fitness Centre features separate changing rooms, a studio and a treatment room available to members. The Fitness Centre is managed by a team of Fitness Professionals who will deliver high quality and bespoke training solutions to all members. Forecast membership is 800, and the pre-opening membership was just over 400. The Opening Ceremony took place on Monday the 10th January 2005 with Treasury permanent secretary Mr Gus O’Donnell cutting the ribbon. This was followed by a Champagne reception, catered with light snacks and refreshments. The Opening Day was open for all gym members and civil servants onsite, as well as invited guests by Energy Fitness Professionals. Over 300 people attended the Opening Day of the new gym.
